Wimbledon

Our last day in St Davids was a rest day. We took a bus to the nearest launderette and squeezed in a bit of a walk too.

The next morning we caught an early bus to Haverfordwest to start our train journey to London. Ten hours later we were loading our bags into the boot of Wendy and James' car. Five days later we were saying goodbye as we made our way north towards York.

London is enjoying an extended period of warm sunny weather, it was so good to be in Wimbledon for this. James walks the dogs through the Common every morning so we tagged along.

A repeat photo from our last trip here. We weren't going to go up to London, but I'm glad we did. We caught as many highlights in an afternoon as we did in two plus years living here (different priorities admittedly)

Prior to leaving St Davids we visited the cathedral, which is a beauty. It's the reason a town with less than 2000 residents is awarded city status

Guards at what remains of St Non's Chapel. This site is said to be the birthplace of Wale's patron saint St David. Non was his mum.

Hever castle south of London. The childhood home of Anne Boleyn, and then her fateful association with Henry VIII.

I watched my first ever Rugby game in England. Harlequins v Gloucester at what was once Twickenham. Great game, thanks James!

A walk along the Thames near Kingston

Love this old photo on display at Covent Garden.

We are staying near to the last place we rented before heading home in the eighties. Close but worlds apart.
